Pete Brown is renowned as the lyric writer for Cream and subsequently Jack Bruce, penning such deathless classics as Sunshine Of Your Love, I Feel Free, White Room, and Politician amongst many others, songs which have became deeply etched into the patina of British Rock music. He also wrote for many others notably Colosseum, Clem Clempson, Dick Heckstall-Smith and his own bands including The Battered Ornaments, Piblokto, Back to the Front, The Interoceters and Psoulchedelia. A long partnership with the late Phil Ryan resulted in four albums’ worth of songs. (Ardours of the Lost Rake, Coals to Jerusalem, Road of Cobras, Perils of Wisdom).
